Job Summary

Provides warm and courteous service upon the arrival and departure of guests and visitors by managing vehicle parking and retrieval, ensuring a high-quality welcome and farewell experience in accordance with hotel standards. Maintains a professional image that reflects the hotel’s commitment to excellence, efficiency, courtesy, discipline, and presentation at all times.

Main responsibilities:

  • Consistently provides a warm, professional welcome and farewell to guests and visitors upon arrival and departure, maintaining an impeccable appearance and a genuine service-oriented attitude.
  • Assists guests with luggage when necessary.
  • Parks and safeguards guest vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Retrieves and delivers vehicles promptly upon guest request.
  • Maintains organized control of vehicle keys and claim tickets.
    Inspects the condition of vehicles upon receipt and reports any incidents or irregularities.
  • Keeps the entrance and parking areas clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
  • Follows all hotel-established safety and service protocols.
  • Maintains an attitude of attentiveness, respect, and discretion while accurately explaining hotel services.
  • Provides guests with accurate and timely information about local attractions and points of interest, while primarily promoting the hotel’s facilities and services through effective upselling.
  • Handles telephone calls efficiently and courteously, providing requested information using the department’s established phrasing standards.
  • Ensures that work equipment is in optimal condition and maintains assigned work areas, including luggage storage areas, in excellent cleanliness and order.
  • Remains consistently informed about hotel policies, procedures, facilities, services, and events.
  • Maintains a professional and calm demeanor during high-pressure situations, always striving to meet guest expectations within hotel policies and procedures.
  • Reports any situations that may negatively impact guest satisfaction or the hotel’s image to the immediate supervisor.
  • Reports to work punctually and complies with hotel policies regarding discipline, appearance, schedules, designated traffic areas, and safety regulations.
  • Attends departmental meetings and actively participates in scheduled training programs related to the position.
  • Performs all duties and instructions assigned by the immediate supervisor, as well as any responsibilities inherent to the position.

Minimum requirements of the position:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).
  • Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Flexible schedule (availability to work overtime, day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Service-oriented attitude with courtesy and friendliness.
  • Preferably at least 6 months of related experience.
