Job Summary

Responsible for supervising the staff under their charge, ensuring their uniformity, good presentation, discipline, and efficient performance. They will also be responsible for greeting the guests with professionalism and warmth. The Supervisor supports and assists the Food and Beverage Manager by overseeing that procedures and quality standards are followed.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Achieve established goals for total customer satisfaction in Food and Beverage under the company’s standards.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Banquets, Restaurants, Bars, and/or Room Service, as assigned.
  • Align the operations of the staff under their supervision with company standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate all events and receptions at the hotel.
  • Address and resolve guest or customer complaints immediately and report them to the Food & Beverage and Banquet Management.
  • Comply with and enforce hotel standards in their areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor the development of buffets and meal service periods.
  • Report to the manager any violations of hotel standards for corresponding sanctions, training, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure the order and discipline of staff, developing a positive service attitude.
  • Encourage sales in the restaurant and bar.
  • Periodically evaluate the condition of equipment in their areas of responsibility to ensure proper functionality.
  • Implement hygiene and safety standards to prevent illnesses or accidents.
  • Organize periodic meetings to address comments and suggestions from the staff.
  • Maintain open communication with the Food and Beverage Management and other areas of the hotel.
  • Perform all tasks and duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, as well as any additional responsibilities required by the position.

Minimum requirements of the position:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurants, banquets, and staff supervision.
  • Flexible schedule (available to work overtime, day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends).
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
