Job Summary

Develops, plans, and oversees the entire beverage operation. The F&B Bar Manager will set up beverage systems (such as storage and display options), directly lead and supervise employees working with beverages, and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the system (beverage selections, pricing, and customer response). The F&B Bar Manager are also responsible for hiring and training new beverage staff members, as well as overseeing the order and inventory control of beverages. ill manage all bars, including the poolside operation.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Achieve the established goals in total customer satisfaction in Food and Beverage, in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction scores across various feedback platforms related to the restaurant.
  • Establish and maintain a retraining and recruitment program.
  • Develop and promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Care for and maintain all supplies, furniture, and operating equipment, and maintain an acceptable rating in work environment or employee satisfaction.
  • Understand and supervise the responsibilities and duties of service personnel.
  • Follow up on institutional programs related to quality assurance, staff training, and asset management.
  • Provide immediate response and resolution to any guest or diner request.
  • Supervise customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Control operational costs and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Efficiently resolve any customer conflicts or complaints.
  • Ensure consistent quality of products served and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Be familiar with the menus of their outlet, their translations into other languages, and the preparation times of dishes.
  • Supervise staff to ensure service is delivered promptly, courteously, with quality, and in line with Hyatt standards.
  • Propose measures to improve service quality and minimize costs.
  • Request and follow up on preventive and functional maintenance for assigned areas.
  • Participate in various meetings related to the position.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious individuals). Report all safety incidents to the shift supervisor.
  • Act responsibly regarding all company property, supplies, and equipment.
  • Execute all instructions and tasks assigned by your immediate superior, as well as any responsibilities required by the position.

 

Minimum requirements of the position:

  • Degree in Business Administration and/or qualification in Hospitality Management or Culinary School.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in restaurant operations and staff supervision. Proficiency in Office programs.
  • Customer service-oriented, excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule (available to work overtime, day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or bend. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
