Recreation Supervisor

Job Summary

The Recreation Supervisor will assist in the planning, organization, direction, and control of all activities at the pool and beach. Provide guests with the necessary information regarding the activities in the pool and beach area. Part of the role's mission is to lead the Recreation Department, ensuring that the highest level of quality is met according to established standards, optimizing productivity, and providing well-being and comfort to hotel guests.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist in sports activities, pool and beach area activities.
  • Monitor the inventory of towels and games.
  • Create a good atmosphere with guests.
  • Follow and comply with the established entertainment schedules.
  • Ensure the good condition of the facilities and sports equipment, as well as their proper use.
  • Inform immediate supervisor of any damages or malfunctions.
  • Follow up on activity information and ensure the schedules are met.
  • Supervise the Water Sports and Recreation staff.
  • Promote compliance with all rules, regulations, and safety practices by clients and visitors.
  • Report any accidents or injuries and ensure that those affected receive proper attention.
  • Carry out all tasks and instructions assigned by the immediate supervisor, complete special projects as well as the responsibilities required by the position.

 

Minimum requirements of the position:

  • University degree.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supervising staff.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Office programs.
  • Customer service-oriented, excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule (available to work overtime, day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or bend. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
