Job Summary

They are responsible for carrying out all maintenance and repair work orders in hotel rooms, in accordance with established standards of quality, timing, safety, and aesthetics, performing their duties efficiently and on time. They also respond to alarm activations, among other tasks.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensures that they have the necessary tools and materials to perform their duties and is responsible for their proper use, as well as for following established procedures and safety regulations to prevent accidents.
• According to instructions from their immediate supervisor, performs all maintenance and repair work in rooms that do not require the intervention of a specialist, complying with quality, time, aesthetics, safety, and established standards for each case.
• Responds to alarm activation reports, correcting faults and ensuring everything is in order and that there is no risk of fire.
• Verifies and records pending tasks in the corresponding logbook. Ensures that their equipment is in optimal working condition and keeps the workshop and work areas clean and orderly at all times.
• Is a member of the fire brigade and must respond to any fire alarm, following the appropriate procedures to safeguard the physical integrity of guests and employees, as well as hotel property. Attends all training courses and fire evacuation and response drills.
• Maintains close communication with their immediate supervisor, reporting on the progress of room maintenance work and any anomalies or irregularities that may pose a risk to the efficient operation of the hotel.
• Reports to work on time and complies with the hotel’s policies and procedures regarding discipline, appearance, schedules, transit areas, and safety regulations.
• Attends departmental meetings and actively participates in scheduled training sessions related to their position.
• Performs all tasks and responsibilities assigned by their immediate supervisor, as well as any duties required by the position.

Minimum requirements of the position:

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of basic repair skills (plumbing, electricity, painting, etc.).
• Valid Puerto Rico driver's license.
• Ability to work seated for extended periods, bend, lift objects up to 50 lbs, walk continuously, and stand for long periods.
