Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the food and beverage department, which includes staff rotation, stock control, cash handling, event delivery, and report preparation. This includes coordinating services and support staff, as well as managing contractors. The coordinator will take on administrative duties in combination with working on BEOs, F&B events, Envision, etc. As a Food and Beverage Coordinator, they will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Food and Beverage Department by ensuring that the coordination, administration, and communication of the department's functions and duties are carried out professionally, discreetly, accurately, and promptly in accordance with company policies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Achieve the established goals for total customer satisfaction in Food and Beverage under the standards of the company.
  • Stay alert to scores on different platforms, including restaurant satisfaction surveys.
  • Establish and maintain communication with the F&B management team of Envision and BEO Meetings regarding event changes.
  • Manage the Envision platform and provide updates.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail from the F&B management office.
  • Support in maintaining and/or restoring relationships with key suppliers to improve purchasing power and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Attend necessary meetings, such as F&B, BEO, Culinary, Department meetings, and Lineups. Take minutes and distribute them to the entire F&B department.
  • Actively participate in training provided or assigned.
  • Coordinate interviews for the Food and Beverage department.
  • Extract daily reports as required by operations.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the management.

Minimum requirements of the position:

  • Degree in Business Administration and/or qualification in Hotel Management or Culinary School.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurants (breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet presentation, and beverage knowledge).
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems.
  • Flexible schedule (available to work overtime, day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends).
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
